Privacy Policy
This policy explains the main categories of information Blerdly uses to operate dating, messaging, safety, and account features.
Last updated: October 23, 2026
1. Information you provide
- Account and sign-in information provided through our authentication service.
- Profile information such as display name, date of birth, gender, dating preferences, relationship intent, bio, fandoms, photos, and optional profile details.
- Messages and other content you send through Blerdly.
- Reports, blocks, support requests, and other safety-related information you submit.
- A short video selfie and challenge response when you complete identity verification.
- When you buy Anime Me credits in the iPhone app, Blerdly receives Apple-signed transaction details such as the product, transaction identifier, purchase time, environment, and an account token tied to your Blerdly user ID. Blerdly does not receive your full payment-card details.
2. Date of birth and age
Blerdly uses date of birth to enforce the 18+ requirement and derive the age shown or used for dating filters. The full date of birth is not intended to be displayed on public dating profiles.
3. Location information
If you choose Nearby features, Blerdly may store a manually selected location or coordinates supplied with your permission. Dating surfaces are designed to provide rounded distance or location labels rather than expose another user's precise coordinates.
4. How we use information
- Operate authentication, profiles, Discovery, matching, messaging, notifications, and Nearby features.
- Apply your dating preferences and determine reciprocal Discovery eligibility.
- Prevent abuse, rate-limit harmful behavior, investigate reports, moderate photos, review identity-verification submissions, and enforce account restrictions.
- Maintain service reliability, diagnose errors, understand feature performance, and improve Blerdly.
- Verify Anime Me purchases, maintain your consumable-credit balance, prevent duplicate credit grants, and resolve purchase or generation failures.
5. Who can see your information
Eligible signed-in users may see profile information you make available through dating surfaces. Your messages are intended for participants in the relevant match. Authorized moderators may access information reasonably necessary to review reports, account restrictions, profile photos, Anime Me portraits, or identity-verification submissions.
6. Service providers
Blerdly relies on service providers for functions such as authentication, database and file storage, hosting, email delivery, Apple in-app purchases, and AI image generation. To create Anime Me, the approved reference photo you choose and the generation instructions are sent to the configured AI image provider; the resulting portrait is returned to Blerdly, privately stored, labeled AI-generated, and moderated before other members can see it. New profile photos are also sent to Blerdly's AI provider through Vercel AI Gateway so an automated screen can flag explicit content, graphic violence, or a possible minor. That screen does not create a facial-recognition template. Those providers process information as needed to provide their services to Blerdly and are subject to their own contractual and security obligations.
7. Identity verification
Before using dating features, Blerdly may require a fresh video selfie that follows a randomly selected live-action prompt. During Alpha 1, an authorized human moderator compares that private submission with your approved profile photos. Automated photo screening is a separate content check and is not this identity comparison. This check does not create an automated facial-recognition template and is not a guarantee of a person's identity or conduct.
Verification videos are stored in a private bucket, are available only to the submitting member and authorized moderators, and are scheduled for removal after review. Blerdly keeps the result, method, review time, and limited audit information needed to operate and defend the safety process. A future government-ID or third-party verification option would require separate notice and consent before use.
8. Safety records and retention
Account deletion removes application data through Blerdly's deletion workflow. Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary for abuse prevention, safety investigations, enforcement history, disputes, security, or legal obligations. Moderation actions are designed not to automatically destroy message history that may be relevant evidence.
9. Photos and storage
Profile photos are stored with Blerdly's storage provider. When supported by the current account workflow, removing a photo also removes the associated stored object. New or changed photos stay out of Discovery until they are approved. A photo the screen is confident is an ordinary adult photo can be approved automatically. A high-confidence explicit or violent photo can be rejected automatically. A photo that may show a minor pauses the account for human review. Uncertain photos stay in the moderator queue. The screen does not verify that the photos are of the account holder. Dating still requires the separate video-selfie check.
10. Your choices
- Edit profile information through account controls.
- Pause Discovery when you do not want your profile shown to new eligible users.
- Control optional profile visibility settings offered by the app.
- Block or report other users.
- Delete your account using the available account deletion flow.
11. Security
Blerdly uses technical access controls, database row-level security, moderation controls, and service-provider security features to reduce unauthorized access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
12. Purchases
Blerdly stores a limited purchase ledger containing credit changes and Apple transaction references. This prevents the same transaction from being credited more than once and supports automatic credit returns when a generation fails before completion. Apple separately processes payment and may retain purchase information under Apple's policies.
13. Contact
Privacy questions or requests may be sent to cj@contentcreators.life. Additional identity verification may be required before fulfilling requests involving account data.
